Is it time to differ for the foreseeable future?

The skill set I am being given today is significantly different than the one I was going for not even a year ago. The specifics of my ambitions have followed suit. And with that I am struggling to see how programming as a skill set fits in. At least compared to others. Learning to program has always kinda been an aspiration of mine but it was also significantly driven by the fact that it could propel me in my career goals. But I enjoy art more as a hobby and I think my hours are now better spent being invested into other fields. So… I guess the sun is setting on that. for now at least.
