I was gonna write this in a Cuban coffee shop I found while aimlessly riding through Capitol Hill, but I spent that time finding a place to climb outdoors instead. I also got my vouchers submitted to my college, so that’s one less thing to worry about. They closed at 4, so I had to leave earlier than I usually would. I bought a 16oz oat milk mocha. It was all non-dairy. Was originally gonna go to Atulea, but they didnt have anywhere to sit.
We were doing training for another boat today on our cranes; he showed up. Turns out he isn’t getting kicked out; I guess his BOSN advocated for him really hard and doesn’t wanna do it over some personal stuff going on in his life. Instead, his BOSN is personally going to inspect my apartment unannounced several times a week. yay….. Apparently they didnt tell him I snitched on him and instead said that housing did an unannounced inspection that he failed spectacularly. But if he has eyes, my behaviors around the time of his chewing out will make some stuff pretty clear. When I saw him show up, my anxiety shot way up, and once my chief found out he was on board, I guess they sent me to the pier and wouldn’t let me on the fantail. I wasn’t worried about anything, but apparently they were, especially because I’m “hiding on the boat”. I guess they also asked them not to bring him to trainings on our boat anymore.
Seems like most of the people who talked to him really liked him, which I’m not surprised by; I’ve always heard he’s a nice guy. Which I’m sure he is when you don’t have to live with him. Nobody knew it was *him* except my chief and supervisor. When he was casually asked where he lived, he quickly said, “GLH,” and changed the subject as if it were a sour subject.
Whatever, I should probably go home at some point. Keep doing what I was doing and prepare to make my next move and all.
