I keep going onto singularity and seeing people talk about how \u201cagi\u201d is coming soon and is gonna take care of us and do everything for us. Everything will be ai, *everything*. And honestly, I get how they\u2019re trying to present it as hope, but it honestly sounds like hell. What\u2019s the point of living if there isn\u2019t anything to achieve or work towards, just sleep at home all day and make babies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like I get this isn\u2019t like, the first time. Plenty of jobs were destroyed in the past but like. Now it\u2019s going after all the creative fields, stuff that expresses the human soul. Just to potentially be fully replaced chasing infinite profits. Really hoping adoption is mostly limited to processing and doesn\u2019t fully displace basically everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s really sad is like, say an ai could make it so you could have one scientist do the work of 10. Most companies wouldn\u2019t turn their 100 scientists into 1000 they\u2019d probably fire 90 of them <\/p>\n\n\n\n
